Thrifty Boutique

The last day to donate gently used items for Thrifty Boutique was Friday, April 13, 2018.

Thank you very much for helping those in need succeed at Judson Center and in our community through your past donations to our Thrifty Boutique.

For the past 16 years, the Thrifty Boutique has been a hidden gem in our neighborhood. We are so thankful and appreciative of the opportunity we could provide for those who donated, for the individuals who shopped, and for the young employees from our Vocational Services program who worked there, learning and providing a great customer experience.

Recently, the difficult decision of closing the Thrifty Boutique was made, a necessary one for our organization.  The last day to donate gently used items for Thrifty Boutique was Friday, April 13, 2018.

All of our extraordinary Vocational Services staff have new employment secured, where they will continue to learn new skills and remain a part of our community.

To help with the transition of this closure, we have partnered with local nonprofit resale shops that will accept gently used items, not far from our location.  We encourage you to donate your items or shop at the following:

This decision does not affect our Wish Room and Food/Hygiene Pantry.  These will remain open all year for the children and families in our care.  Our Wish Room accepts new items for all ages (infant to adult) that include toys, clothing and bedding. And, there is always a high need for tween and teen items.   The Pantry accepts new items that include non-perishable food, diapers (all sizes needed), cleaning supplies, and toiletries (full size products only, not travel size) for all ages.  If you are interested in donating to the Wish Room or the Food/Hygiene Pantry, please contact Peggy Kerr, Community Engagement and Development Officer, at 248.837.2019 or peggy_kerr@judsoncenter.org.

There are many other ways to help those we serve all year-round, and we invite you to visit our website at www.judsoncenter.org to learn more.

We truly value and appreciate your past support of Thrifty Boutique. If you have any questions about the closure, please contact Sue Salhaney at 248.837.2015 or Susan_Salhaney@judsoncenter.org.

Sincerely,
