Job Seekers

Judson Center's Employment Services helps adults with disabilities prepare and compete in the job market based upon an assessment of interests, strengths, and abilities. Services are delivered to build on those results and include:

  • assessments
  • skill building
  • on the job training
  • career planning
  • situational work experience
  • individual and group placement

Based on the belief that people with disabilities should be viewed in terms of their abilities, strengths and interests, rather than their disabilities, Judson Center's Employment Services program has the following objectives:

  • To focus on each individual's capacity and capabilities
  • To assess the abilities, needs, and interests of each individual in order to find the most appropriate a job in the community
  • To provide work in an integrated environment
  • To oversee that each individual has a fair wage, and that all labor laws are followed
  • To ensure an individual's physical and emotional safety while on the job
  • To provide employment in the least restrictive environment according to each individual's plan of service
  • To review the employment of each individual at least annually in order to design the development of the individual's career

If you live in either Oakland or Wayne County and are interested in receiving employment services through Judson Center, please contact us at (248) 549-4339.  Let us help connect you with one of our multiple locations.
