“JudsonCenter has PHENOMENAL caseworkers. They fought for the kids to be with us. I felt like they really cared about our children. They fought every day for us to have custody of them.”

Parent Education Classes

Parent Education Classes:

Beginning in 2006 and continuing to-date, Judson Center has contracted with DHHS to provide group-based Parent Education Classes to Macomb County families who have substantiated allegations of abuse or neglect or children at risk of maltreatment.  Classes are two and one-half hours in length and run for 15 consecutive weeks. The program utilizes the evidence-based Bavolek Nurturing Program Curriculum to increase parenting skills around age-appropriate positive discipline, empathy, child development, family roles, and child indepence.

Parents are referred to the program through the Macomb County Department of Human Services.

Due to the nature of the work we do, Judson Center upholds the privacy of the children, adults and families we serve. Therefore, photos and names may be changed to protect identity.
