"Change is the only thing constant in life." Despite knowing this to be a fact, many of us are not comfortable with change. We like things to be predictable. We like to know what is coming next; we get comfortable in our routines. 

 

Current legislation is pending in the Michigan Senate which, once passed, will mandate insurance coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of autism. The bills have not moved from a Senate committee, headed up by Senator Sanborn, since they passed out of the House in June. 

 

Since the beginning, a large focus of the services at Autism Connections has been to provide opportunities to increase and develop social skills for children, teens and adults with ASD. Autism Connections provides a unique approach to the development of social skills, recognizing that every individual on the spectrum has unique needs and those needs can be met in variety of ways.
